Leitz Cine Prime 21mm Lens (Feet, PL Mount)

The Leitz Cine Prime 21mm Lens (Feet, PL Mount) is designed to cover large-format sensors, including the VistaVision frame, delivering the signature Leitz look—rich contrast, natural color rendition, and exceptional sharpness. The lens projects a 46.5mm image circle, making it compatible with nearly all PL-mount cinema cameras, and can also be adapted for use with ARRI ALEXA LF and LF Mini cameras via an optional PL-to-LPL adapter.

Its fast T1.8 maximum aperture allows for outstanding low-light performance and consistent exposure across most lenses in the Leitz Prime series (excluding the 180mm). Geared focus and iris rings maintain uniform placement across the lens lineup, ensuring seamless lens swaps without repositioning follow focus systems or motor units. Built with a stainless steel housing, the 21mm lens provides robust durability and reliable precision for high-end cinema production.

The lens features an internal focus design with a durable cam-follower mechanism which provides the lens with a non-rotating front, perfect for clip-on matte boxes. A generous number of focus marks are distributed along the focus scales, and 270° of focus rotation makes for accurate focus pulls. The 114mm diameter front is standard across the set of lenses, which also speeds up lens changes when working with a matte box.
