The Sony DVF-EL1 Electronic Viewfinder expands the monitoring capabilities of the Sony FX5 Cinema Camera, providing filmmakers with a high-resolution viewing solution for demanding production environments. Designed specifically for the FX5, this dedicated electronic viewfinder delivers accurate image evaluation and flexible operation whether shooting handheld, on a rig, or in bright outdoor conditions.

At its core is a premium 0.58-inch OLED display featuring an impressive 7.08-million-dot resolution and 0.90x magnification, offering sharp detail, rich contrast, and precise color reproduction. The high-quality display enables operators to confidently assess focus, framing, and exposure while maintaining a clear view of the scene.

The DVF-EL1 mounts directly to the top of the FX5 using Sony’s proprietary interface and is secured with two 1/4"-20 screws for a stable connection during production. For greater shooting flexibility, the viewfinder can tilt upward by up to 90°, making it easier to monitor from a variety of angles and camera positions.

• The detachable OLED viewfinder features a wide color gamut equivalent to DCI-P3 with 10-bit color support. IT also enables HDR monitoring.
• The display has a 0.90x magnification and there are two shooting options: Standard and Zoom Out. The Zoom Out option provides enhanced visibility.
• Vertical tilt is possible from 0-90°. The eyepiece cup is detachable and can be reversed for left- or right-eyed shooting. Additionally, removing the cup allows for closer viewing which may be a benefit for users wearing glasses.
• The viewfinder comes with a protective cap for the terminals and this cap can be stored in the viewfinder body when not in use.
