The Canon Cine-Servo 17-120mm T2.95 Lens (ARRI PL) is designed to combine the functionality and form factor of a broadcast, ENG-style motorized zoom lens with the optical precision of a cinema zoom. The lens is designed with an ARRI PL mount for use on a variety of cinema cameras and covers sensors up to Super35, and it is suitable for 8K/4K acquisition. This PL-mount model also supports Cooke /i technology and passes ZEISS eXtended metadata to the camera.
For ENG-style shooters, the lens drive features servo motors powering zoom, focus, and iris. The next-gen eX-s V servo drive features faster focus and iris speeds than previous Cine-Servo models, making it ideal for fast-moving sports events. The detachable drive mechanism makes it at home whether being used in broadcast or cinema production. The Focus Breathing Compensation feature ensures minimal focus breathing while utilizing the zoom function for high-precision adjustments.
With a 17 to 120mm focal length, the lens features 7x zoom and has a maximum aperture of T2.95 when set to 91mm or wider. Additionally, it features an 11-blade iris to create soft, circular bokeh patterns and reduce refraction. Three 20-pin connectors below the servo housing allow many Canon and third-party zoom, focus, and iris controllers to be connected, and a USB-C terminal lets you import and export lens data to save settings and maintenance information.
