XUME 77mm Lens Adapter

The XUME 77mm Lens Adapter enables fast, secure filter changes by adding a precision-machined magnetic interface to lenses with a 77mm filter thread. Built with NdFeB rare-earth magnets, it creates a strong yet easily removable connection when paired with Xume Filter Holders—allowing instant attachment and removal without threading.

This magnetic system dramatically speeds up filter swaps while eliminating the risk of cross-threading or jamming. Designed to be approximately the same thickness as a standard step ring, the adapter won’t cause vignetting on most lenses down to 24mm (35mm equivalent). Over-the-lens hoods remain compatible and are recommended for added security in busy or on-the-move shooting environments, making the XUME adapter a reliable, workflow-friendly solution for photographers and filmmakers alike.

Traditional snap-on lens caps are not directly compatible with Xume lens adapters. To protect the front element of a lens that is not in use, but has a Xume lens adapter installed on it, a Xume filter holder can be first connected to a snap-on lens cap. The combination of a snap-on lens cap and a Xume filter holder can then be placed over the lens instead of a filter with a Xume filter holder. Alternatively, a Xume lens cap designed to cover a correspondingly-sized Xume lens adapter may be used instead.
