Legendary cinematographer Don Morgan never intended to get into the film business. In fact, he began his career as a daredevil: first as a rodeo rider, then a race car driver. “I believe you make your own luck, and I just wasn’t afraid to try stuff, ” he says. He eventually trained to become an aerial cameraman, known for hanging out of helicopters to get the perfect shot. Don shot “Used Cars” and “I Wanna Hold Your Hand,” with Robert Zemeckis; Steven Spielberg’s “1941,” and John Carpenter’s “Starman” and “Christine.” He’s had a long career in television, shooting commercials and working with director Joseph Sargent on several TV movies and miniseries. Don continued to do aerial camerawork as well, shooting the iconic aerial scenes in “Seven” for director David Fincher.
