The 27-375mm equivalent range is complemented by an advanced optical design that uses low dispersion and aspherical elements to reduce aberrations and distortion throughout the zoom range. A Super Multi-Layer Coating has also been applied to control flare and ghosting for improved contrast and color fidelity. Additionally, balancing the optics, the zoom also features a Hyper Sonic Motor, which provides quick, smooth, and quiet autofocus performance with full-time manual focus override.
