Designed to mount directly to the rear of the camera, the module features an integrated V-mount battery plate that supports a single high-capacity battery, providing dependable power for both the camera and a wide range of professional accessories. A 12A battery is recommended for optimal performance.

Built to streamline complex cinema rigs, the KX-IO offers an extensive selection of power and control interfaces, including 2-pin power outputs, D-Tap, BNC tally, 5-pin timecode, 3-pin Fischer run/stop, 6-pin hot-swap, 9-pin AUX, CTRL RCP2, and a 9-pin camera power connection. This comprehensive I/O layout allows filmmakers to power and control monitors, wireless video systems, focus motors, audio equipment, and other essential production accessories from a centralized hub.

To maximize battery efficiency, the module incorporates an anti-drain switch that prevents unnecessary battery discharge when accessories remain connected during transport or between setups. When paired with RED-approved batteries, the KX-IO also passes SMBUS battery information directly to the camera's display, allowing operators to monitor battery status in real time. A built-in 6A resettable fuse protects the 2-pin and Fischer ports, helping safeguard connected equipment from electrical faults.
