Light Widow Filter Reading System Upgrade Kit for ARRI LMB 4 x 5

The Light Widow Filter Reading System Upgrade Kit for ARRI LMB 4 x 5 is designed to replace the existing filter section of your ARRI LMB matte box system. It incorporates an RFID antenna, an enhanced brake system, and three filter trays. This system uses RFID tags attached to the edges of the filters to identify and read them, displaying the information on wireless e-ink displays known as CineTags.

The upgrade kit includes one CineTag and can be connected to up to ten. The FRS module detects the type and position of each filter using the RFID tags and displays this data, making it easy for the camera crew to monitor what filters are in the matte box. The tags are programmable via a mobile app, allowing users to customize display names, background colors, and display modes.

All filter programming can be handled ahead of time, either at a rental house or during prep, freeing the camera crew to focus on other tasks during filming. While the FRS doesn't yet transmit data directly to the camera, each connected CineTag logs every filter change to a CSV file, using either timecode or real time. A set of 25 RFID tags and a charging cable are also included in the kit.
