The Leitz Hektor 100mm T2.1 Cine Lens (Leica L) offers filmmakers a unique way to capture a playful yet subject-driven visual style on full-frame cameras. Designed as part of the six-lens HEKTOR series, this 100mm lens blends modern engineering with the character of vintage cinema optics. Its interchangeable Leica L mount ensures flexibility across different camera systems, while matched gearing allows for seamless integration with professional focus and iris control accessories. The lens produces soft, indirect flares and incorporates a subtle Petzval-inspired optical effect, creating a gentle fall-off from focus that draws attention naturally toward the subject. Ideal for narrative storytelling, commercial work, or artistic projects, the HEKTOR 100mm combines technical precision with an expressive, cinematic look.
Boasting a 47.8mm image circle, this 100mm T2.1 prime lens covers full-frame camera sensors. It comes with a Leica L lens mount that can be swapped out by the user with separately available Canon RF, Sony E and Nikon Z mounts.
The HEKTOR primes create images with a lower-resolution center, subtle focus fall-off, and a gentle, swirly Petzval look that draws viewers in yet is not distracting.
New coatings on the HEKTOR primes produce the trademark Leitz natural, warm tones while enabling colorful flares and maintaining contrast across the frame.
This 100mm lens shares the same form factor, lens gear position, focus rotation, and 80mm outside front diameter as the other lenses in the series. This enables quick lens changes when using a matte box or FIZ (focus/iris/zoom) controls. The focus barrel features 120° of rotation for smooth, accurate focus pulls. Like all the compact, lightweight HEKTOR primes except the 18mm, this 100mm incorporates a front 77mm filter thread.
The HEKTOR lenses have focus markings in both feet and meters for worldwide compatibility.
