Built with a stainless steel PL mount, the lens projects a 46.5mm image circle, ensuring compatibility with virtually any PL-mount cinema camera. Using an optional PL-to-LPL adapter, it can also be used with the ARRI ALEXA LF and LF Mini.
Featuring a consistent T1.8 maximum aperture across the Leitz Prime series (except for the 180mm), this lens ensures exposure consistency when switching focal lengths. It also includes precision-engineered, industry-standard geared focus and iris rings positioned identically across the entire set—allowing for seamless lens swaps without readjusting your follow focus or motor setup. The lens features an internal focus design with a durable cam-follower mechanism which provides the lens with a non-rotating front, perfect for clip-on matte boxes. A generous number of focus marks are distributed along the focus scales, and 270° of focus rotation makes for accurate focus pulls. The 114mm diameter front is standard across the set of lenses, which also speeds up lens changes when working with a matte box.
