The Atomos Shinobi 7 II 4K HDMI HDR Monitor with Camera Control provides filmmakers and production crews with a bright, detailed monitoring solution for cinema cameras, mirrorless systems, and professional video workflows. Built around a spacious 7" touchscreen display, the Shinobi 7 II combines high-brightness viewing, camera control, and professional monitoring tools in an on-camera design suited for both studio and location production.

The 1920 x 1080 display delivers up to 2800 cd/m² of brightness, providing excellent visibility when monitoring footage in challenging lighting conditions. Its large touchscreen interface gives camera operators, cinematographers, and focus pullers a clear view of framing, focus, exposure, and other critical image details while shooting.

For streamlined camera integration, the Shinobi 7 II features HDMI input and output alongside USB-C camera control for compatible systems. This allows supported camera functions to be accessed directly through the monitor, helping consolidate monitoring and camera operation into a more efficient production setup.

Built-in on-device calibration helps maintain dependable display performance, while the latest AtomOS firmware provides a collection of on-screen image analysis and monitoring tools. These features give filmmakers additional assistance when evaluating footage and making creative or technical decisions on set.

Combining a bright 7" touchscreen, 2800-nit output, 4K HDMI support, USB-C camera control, on-device calibration, and AtomOS monitoring tools, the Atomos Shinobi 7 II is a versatile professional monitor for cinematographers and camera crews who need accurate, highly visible monitoring with greater control directly at the camera.

7" Daylight Viewable Screen

The Shinobi 7 II features a 7" IPS LCD 1920 x 1080 HDR screen that is illuminated by a bright 2800 cd/m² edge-lit LED backlight, making it possible to view in daylight without requiring a hood.

DCI/UHD 4K Input/Output

Monitor up to DCI or UHD 4K30 footage in formats via HDMI 2.0 and output up to 4K30 via the HDMI 2.0 output.

USB-C Camera Control

The monitor features a USB-C control port that supports a variety of cameras from brands such as Canon, FUJIFILM, Nikon, Panasonic, and Sony. For a camera compatibility list, visit the Atomos camera compatibility page. You can set the camera's focus point from the touchscreen and use on-screen sliders to adjust white balance, lens aperture, shutter speed/angle, and ISO.

The shutter-release function lets you take photos directly from the touchscreen, which is useful when shooting multiple exposures for HDR bracketing, focus stacking, and other workflows. A red border clearly indicates whether you are recording the camera feed internally, and whether it's triggered by the monitor or camera.

NOTE: Z CAM camera control is supported with a separately available USB-C to serial cable.

HDR Monitoring

You can monitor up to ten stops of dynamic range of your camera's Log image, which allows users to accurately assess and capture scenes with a wider dynamic range than conventional monitors. This is ideal for productions with high-quality visuals that require increased detail and contrast.

Audio Monitoring

Input/output embedded audio via HDMI or via the 3.5mm analog input and output for embedding as well as convenient audio monitoring.

On-Device Calibration

The USB-C control port also allows you to calibrate the display using a separately available probe for on-device calibration, without the need to plug it into a computer. The screen comes color calibrated from the factory to ensure accurate image representation out of the box.

Power Options

The back of the monitor features a centered L-series battery slot as well as a 36W USB-C PD power input. It can also be powered via a separately available L-series battery eliminator (dummy battery) with an external power source.

3D LUT Management

An SD card slot allows you to load custom 3D LUTs and apply them to both input and output signals. The SD card slot also allows you to apply firmware updates.
