Support your Sony a7S III mirrorless camera for handheld shoots with the SHAPE Camera Cage with Top Handle and 15mm Baseplate. The kit includes an aluminum camera cage, a wood-lined top handle with push-button adjustment, a baseplate with a 15mm LWS quick release rod system, a V-lock adapter, a lens support bracket, an HDMI cable clamp, and two 10" 15mm rods.

The cage and top handle provide numerous mounting points for accessories, including 1/4"-20 threads, 3/8"-16 ARRI-style accessory mounts, shoe mounts, and a 15mm rod port. The camera cage mounts onto the baseplate, which features an integrated 15mm LWS rod clamp for the included 15mm rods and a quick release V-lock/delta adapter. The HDMI clamp prevents your HDMI cables from pulling or disconnecting. A lens support bracket is included to support long, heavy lenses.

SHAPE Camera Cage for Sony a7S III

Protect your Sony a7S III mirrorless camera and add a variety of accessories with his Camera Cage from SHAPE. The cage protects your camera without blocking access to the hot shoe or any of your camera's features, functions, ports, or compartments—you can even leave your strap hooks on.

There are multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 mount threads along the sides and top of the cage, which allow you to attach accessories without stressing your camera's body. Each accessory thread also features ARRI-style accessory holes, allowing you to use a variety of available accessories, such as a monitor or handgrip, without the worry of twisting. An integrated shoe mount allows you to mount traditional accessories such as a microphone or an on-camera light, while still having access to the other accessory mounting points.

The included detachable HDMI cable clamp on the side of the camera cage prevents your HDMI cables from pulling or detaching. The camera mounts onto the cage with a 1/4"-20 screw, and the bottom of the cage features two 1/4"-20 tripod threads for mounting on a tripod, shoulder rig, plate, or other camera platform.

SHAPE Sony a7S Baseplate

The Sony a7S Baseplate from SHAPE is designed to be used in conjunction with SHAPE's a7S Cage. It features two 15mm rod ports and a quick-release V-lock mounting interface. To make your a7S Cage compatible with the quick-release interface, a V-lock delta plate adapter comes included that installs underneath the cage. With the cage mounted, the baseplate's design places the optical center of camera between the two rods and the lens at a height suitable for use with a matte box. A pair of 10" long 15mm rods are included.

SHAPE 15mm Aluminum Rods (Pair, 10")

This pair of Shape 15mm Aluminum Rods (10") connect into your camera rig, extend it, and let you add various Shape and third-party accessories compatible with 15mm rods. With these two rods and with a few fundamental accessories, you can most certainly even begin building your own rig from scratch.

The rods are each 15mm in diameter, 10 inches long, hollow, non-threaded, and made of reliable aluminum coated with a clear finish.

SHAPE Delta Adapter

The SHAPE Delta Adapter plate mounts underneath your camera and allows for attachment to the SHAPE Quick Release Plate or third party plates that use the V-lock interface. The adapter plate features two stoppers at the rear of the plate to keep your camera from twisting while shooting, with the stoppers adjustable and removable to accommodate cameras of varying sizes. A 1/4"-20 screw comes included for securing your camera to the plate.
