The LPL-mount ARRI 1.7x Signature Zoom Extender is specifically designed for the 65-300mm Signature Zoom and the 280mm Signature Prime lenses. It extends the focal length range of the lens by a factor of 1.7 with a loss of 1.6 T-stops. The 1.7x Extender transfers lens metadata to select cameras using ARRI's LDS-2 (Lens Data System) protocol.

This extender attaches between the camera's LPL mount and the LPL mount of the lens. It weighs 1.3 lb and adds 1.4" to the length of the lens when mounted.
