Angenieux

Angenieux

Pierre Angenieux is one of the 20th century's most influential optical designers. Angenieux has long been known for innovation, bringing the f/0.95 lens to the 16mm format in 1953, and pioneering the 35mm motion picture zoom lens with the 35-140mm f/3.5in 1959.

Since that time, Angenieux lenses have been used by the world's best cinematographers and broadcasters, and have made trips to the moon to record lunar landings. The current Optimo, Optimo Style, and Optimo Anamorphic lines are among Hollywood's most in-demand lenses (good luck finding a 24-290 to rent on a Friday), and the Angenieux name continues to be synonymous with "quality."
